We know a destination wedding in France brings a lot of questions! We've created a helpful Q&A section below that should have most of the answers. Please check there first before reaching out to us directly.
What is the deadline to RSVP?
Please RSVP by 1st June 2026. Your timely response helps us finalise all the details for the day!
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies in the designated section when you submit your RSVP. We are happy to work with our caterer to ensure a delicious and safe meal for all of our guests.
Are children invited?
We love all of your little ones, but we've decided to make our wedding an adults only event. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and celebrate with us to the fullest!
What is the dress code?
We would love for our guests to wear comfortable, smart wedding attire. Think cocktail or garden party style!
A note on the weather: the Bordeaux region in September is lovely, averaging 24∘C during the day and 14∘C at night. So it will likely be warmer than the UK.
However, September averages about 12 rainy days, so you may want to consider this when planning your outfit (and perhaps bring a light jacket or umbrella!).
Should we book accommodation or travel first?
Saint-Émilion is a beautiful and popular town, particularly in late summer. To ensure you have a spot, we highly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as you can! For more details please see the Accommodation page.
Should I book accommodation in Bordeaux for the wedding weekend?
To ensure you have the most seamless and enjoyable experience, we don't recommend staying in Bordeaux. While it's a large city with many accommodation options, it's over an hour's drive from the venue. We want to make sure your day is as stress-free as possible, and this commute could be tiring.
You can find more details on travel and transport on our Travel & Transport page.
What time should we arrive?
We ask that you arrive no later than 13:30 (1:30 PM). This gives you a lovely window to mingle with other guests and enjoy a welcome refreshment before we say "I do" at 14:00 (2:00 PM)!
Will transport be provided to/from the venue?
We had originally planned to provide shuttle transportation to and from the centre of Saint-Émilion, but with many of our guests staying in surrounding villages we are moving to Plan B.
We want everyone to enjoy the celebration to the fullest! To ensure you can toast, dance, and celebrate without worry, we kindly ask that you arrange for a taxi to and from the venue. You can find recommended taxi companies on our Travel & Transport page.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is ample parking at the venue. Our preference is for guests to book taxis to and from the venue to enjoy the celebration to the fullest! You can find recommended taxi companies on our Travel & Transport page.
Can I use my phone to take photos on the day?
We encourage you to capture memories throughout the day! The only exception is during the ceremony. Please keep your phones and cameras put away so we can have a truly unplugged moment and allow our photographer to work their magic.
Is there a gift register?
The best gift we could ask for is your presence on our big day!
We are not registered anywhere, but if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, we will be collecting cash gifts on the day. Your generous contributions will help us have a fantastic trip to New Zealand in 2027!
